North Meadow Trail 9 AM Oxbow park outside of Byron Minnesota, slightly overcast.About 68°, extremely humid outside. First rain in weeks… smells great out here. I can hear the bees across the grass humming after the fresh rain. When back in the woods the air is stifling, the canopy is extremely thick considering how dry it’s been this year. Pics below.
Beautiful morning for a walk at one of the primer county facilities in Minnesota.
Took a lap down at Gold Rush Days at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds. The only two things I was in the market for were Video Games and Comics. Plenty of comics available…very few video game offerings. Here are some pics I snapped while walking around this morning.
Always a great blog!!!
This has been a terrific week for paid iPhone and iPad apps that were made available for free for a limited time, and some apps in our last post can still be downloaded for free if you move quickly. We’re finishing the week even stronger though, with 10 paid iOS apps worth a combined $23 that can all be downloaded for free right now. As always, be sure to act fast if you see anything you like because these sales could end at any time.

Living in SE Minnesota as a casual cyclist offers numerous opportunities to ride on state and county trails as well as a bounty of trails available in towns like; Rochester, Winona and Austin. Great River Ridge trail is one such trail. A nice running from county road 9 just North of Eyota Minnesota to Plainview while passing through Viola and Elgin. In general there’s nothing spectacular about the trail, it’s a old railroad bed converted to a bike path by the state. In the future it’s going to hook up to other communities in SE Minnesota but for now it’s a nice get away from Rochester. Below are a few pictures I snapped along the way.
